Aluminum Makes the Grade.

• Aluminum Virtually lasts forever. Your first Vet Box™ could be be your last. We've got tool boxes, like you see (left), with over 2 million miles and counting! They move these boxes from truck to truck and keep on using them. Our Vet Box™ is built with the same locks, marine grade aluminum, material thickness 1/8th inch, stainless (overkill) hinges, and fasteners we use on our semi truck boxes.

• Powder coat finish is baked on at 400 degrees. Gel coat, used on fiberglass, does not come close to the extreme performance of powder coat. Just like the old boats you see left out back, they look pretty bad. Not what you want for your customers to see.

• Aluminum is 30% lighter than fiberglass. Another reason aluminum makes sense in the long run. Weight adds up to fuel economy and could make the difference between needing a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton pickup; saving initial cost layout on your truck. Less weight equals fuel economy for years to come.

• Customizable: Aluminum can be cut and bent to configurations to make your Vet Box™ more efficient for you. Every business has it's own unique qualities and specialties. That's why you fare better in some areas than other Vets. The Vet Box™ can be customized to your needs.

• Fire! As you know, aluminum does not burn. You will need to be careful with fiberglass. Get the heater too hot and the fiberglass resins will burn like gasoline.

• Cost. Fiberglass is a labor intensive process plus, the materials are expensive. Aluminum is still king for truck bodies. It's weight to strength ratio is much higher. We beat fiberglass pricing and strength every day of the week.

This Vet Box™ was custom built for a Lady Veterinarian in Colorado. With her input we built this mobile clinic without even meeting her. We simply put her thoughts on our CAD drawing program, sent her a copy via email, made changes as she requested, she signed off the print giving us her approval, we start production.

What about installation?

Once you order a Vet Box™ from Highway Products, we go to work that day to find an installer. Every town has a weld shop or auto body shop. That's all that's required. They're shipped the day they're finished, assembled so you don't have to be a fabricator, and we can ship directly to their facility. You show up with your truck for the install.

If you have a preference of installer or want to install it yourself, it only takes an electric drill and some simple hand tools. You will however need a way to lift it off the freight truck and on your truck. A forklift or tractor front end loader work great. Of course, if you order a large body, it will need to be installed by us or an up fitter. We have a tech support staff that will answer any questions that may arise during the week with sales support 7 days.

We've been doing this for years with our service body's, flatbeds, and other products we manufacture. It's not a problem.

The stainless steel "Tee Lock" was the only lock capable of the demanding performance required. It's strong, lockable, and dependable. That's why we install them as standard.

Highway Products can install your Vet Box™ at our factory. Order your truck from Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota, etc. and have it drop-shipped here. We do the factory install and ship it to you or you pick it up here.
